This IBM Redbooks residency will focus on creating a publication which addresses the need for a filed guide, including best practice suggestions and a reference architecture, to follow when deploying IBM Storage Scale in an cloud based environment.

This publication will include the following items:

  • Scale deployment on public and private cloud
  • A Reference architecture
  • Protocol node configuration on cloud
  • AFM use case information
  • Cloud Bursting/burst processing use case information
  • Containerization of Scale
  • Scale/cloud and compute/storage connectivity
  • Deployment suggestions and best practices related to a cloud based deployment
