Description
The IBM Power S1112 is a Power11 processor‑based, one‑socket scale‑out system designed to deliver enterprise‑class reliability, security, and performance in a compact and cost‑effective form factor. Positioned as an entry‑level member of the Power11 scale‑out portfolio, the S1112 system is well suited for small to midsize workloads, remote and branch office deployments, and edge computing scenarios, while maintaining consistency with the broader IBM Power platform. This book provides an overview of the IBM Power S1112 architecture and capabilities, including processor design, memory and I/O features, system virtualization with PowerVM, and support for IBM AIX®, IBM i®, and Linux® operating environments. It also highlights key availability, security, and manageability features that enable the S1112 to participate in enterprise landscapes, including integration with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
