Description
IBM i remains a strong operating system on IBM Power Architecture. Designed as an integrated system, with its roots based in the AS400 line of products, IBM i continues to have a strong client base and a large infrastructure of independent software vendors. This residency will document new feature and functions available in IBM i and show how IBM i is moving forward in an era of modernization.

Benefits to Resident
The residents in this residency will work as a team to create a new publication describing the newest features of the IBM i operating system. They will gain an in-depth understanding of how IBM i can help meet the requirements of IBM clients looking for an integrated and secure environment on which to run their business critical applications.
As a result of helping author the Redbook publication, the residents will be eligible for an IBM Redbooks Author badge. The badge is part of IBM's Digital Badge program and is issued through Credly. The badge can fulfill requirements for career advancement in many areas.

A basic requirement for all residents is the ability to read and clearly express concepts and procedures in common English.
