Benefits to Resident
This residency will assist the residents in understanding and using PowerVS for IBM i workloads. As enterprises continue to moving workloads to the cloud, PowerVS provides a flexible and cost effective platform for applications running on IBM i on Power. By moving to a compatible architecture, clients are able to quickly migrate workloads without having to refactor them for a new architecture.
Other use cases for PowerVS include:
Disaster recovery on the cloud
Application development and testing on the cloud
Backup to the cloud
After finishing this residency, the resident will be able to assist their enterprise (or their clients) in adopting a Power based cloud infrastructure.
