Abstract
This IBM® Redpaper publication introduces System Recovery Boost, which is a firmware feature introduced with the IBM z15™ system and enhanced on the IBM z16. System Recovery Boost delivers substantially faster system shutdown and restart, short duration Recovery Process Boosts for sysplex events, and fast catch-up of an accumulated backlog of mission-critical workloads after specific events (such as system restart).
