Abstract

The administrative console is sufficient for tasks that are non-repetitive, have a minimal number of administrative steps, and are relatively simple. For administration that requires many steps, which can be repetitive, and time consuming to configure, wsadmin combined with scripts is an ideal tool. In this IBM® Redpaper™ publication, we introduce the wsadmin scripting solution and describe how you can use it to perform basic tasks.

This paper is the stand-alone version of chapter 8 of WebSphere® Application Server V7 Administration and Configuration Guide, SG24-7615.
