This instructional video provides assistance to those participating in residencies (project leaders and residents) to develop IBM® Redbooks® and Redpapers. Residents, in particular, have the challenge of rapidly becoming productive in the use of the tools with which these publications are created. Within a just a few days of the start of your residency, you are expected to start writing the material that will become the Redbooks publication. The main tool that you will use during a residency is Adobe® FrameMaker®, which is the primary authoring tool for Redbooks and Redpapers.
The FrameMaker Writing and Style Guidelines for Residents is a reference for writing IBM Redbooks publications. In it, you will find style guidelines, writing tips, how to use FrameMaker, and much more. It is intended as a supplement to the FrameMaker training video.
